Türkiye Scholarships – IsDB Joint Scholarship Program is jointly funded by YTB and IsDB to provide equal opportunities to successful students from IsDB member states and Muslim communities around the world to receive higher education at international standards at the most prestigious universities of Türkiye.
The program aims to contribute to the academic, cultural, social, political and economic development of developing countries by providing scholarships to promising students in the programs in line with sustainable development goals.
Program covers students’ monthly stipend, accommodation support, tuition fees, health insurance, one-year Turkish language course and one-time round-trip flight tickets expenses.
The program is designed to provide educational opportunities to academically distinguished students from Member Countries and Islamic communities in non-Member Countries to pursue full-time study for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees with the aim of building the appropriate competencies required with particular emphasis.
In Sustainability Science to empower communities and help them achieve national and global development plans including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Turkish Government Grants and the Islamic Development Bank will jointly initiate a joint bilateral programme. The scholarships are fully funded and are called the Turkish scholarship with the Islamic Bank and provide all benefits, including a monthly salary, university housing, and health insurance.
All conditions for the Islamic Bank scholarships will be applied in the joint bilateral scholarship program between the Turkish Scholarship Authority and the Islamic Bank Scholarship Authority. The Islamic Bank Türkiye Scholarship will be provided to students from Islamic communities and citizens of Islamic Bank member countries.
Advantages of the Islamic Bank Scholarship Program and the Turkish Scholarships
Students who receive the Turkey and Islamic Bank Scholarship 2024 will receive many benefits throughout the study period that exceed the benefits of the annual Turkish scholarship, which are as follows:
- Monthly salary (1,800 Turkish liras for bachelor’s, 2,100 liras for master’s, 2,600 liras for doctorate).

- Covering accommodation expenses.
- A preparatory year to study the Turkish language.
Application conditions
- The student must be from a member country of the Islamic Development Bank or belong to one of the Islamic communities in other countries.
- The student must be medically fit.
- You must choose one of the available specializations.
- The student must have obtained a grade of 70% in the last stage of study and obtained a grade of “very good” for applicants for the doctoral degree.
- Writing a research plan for doctoral students.
Conditions for applying for the Islamic Bank and Turkish Government scholarship
- Must be a citizen of any of the IDB member countries or Muslim communities in non-member countries.
- Applicants from non-member countries must be Muslim.
- Must have a high school diploma or be enrolled in one of the top 10 public universities in his country.
- Must have at least 70% in the final cumulative average in the secondary school certificate.
- A field of study must be chosen within the approved specializations of the program.
- Evidence of language proficiency in the language of study must be provided.
- Language proficiency must also be supported by a document or certificate, for example, for the English language, a recognized language certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS or passing the required level test conducted by the British Council, for example, or any equivalent system in French or other languages.
- A certified translation in English or French must be submitted for all documents if the original is in another language.
- The candidate must not be in possession of any other scholarship at the time of application and during study.
- Must be medically fit and willing to undergo medical examinations after selection.

The universities available to apply for the new joint scholarship have not been identified by the Turkish Scholarship Authority and the Islamic Development Bank, but the scholarship administration stated that they will be in the top 10 Turkish universities, which are as follows:
