Community Engagement Exchange Program in the USA Activities
- IREX provides designated supervisors and peers support to CEE fellows through a three months professional Practicum.
- CEE also provides leadership and engagement activities through varieties of group activities and mentoring.
- With the help of their U.S. host organization and mentors, CEE fellows design and plan a community engagement project to carry out accordingly after they return home.
- Later U.S. hosts and CEE Specialists will travel to a CEE Alumnus’ country and work collaboratively to support the fellow’s project implementation.
Financial Support of Community Engagement Exchange Program in the USA:
The program covers the cost of most expenses associated with:
- J-1 visa support
- Round-trip travel from participants’ home city to the U.S.
- Monthly allowance to cover housing, meals, and other living expenses while in the U.S. and
- Accident and sickness insurance

To apply for Community Engagement Exchange Program 2024-25, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must be a citizen of the following mentioned countries.
- Applicant should have at least 2 years of professional experience.
- Applicants must be living in their home country.
- Applicants should be proficient in the English language.
- Applicant should not be a permanent resident of the USA for the last three years.
- Applicant should not be related to IREX.
- The age requirement of the applicant is 21 to 28 years.
