Applications are open for the Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) 2024. This scholarship is funded by the Malaysian Government to attract international students to pursue Masters and PhD Degree programs from Malaysian Public Universities.
For the MIS Scholarship, you can apply without IELTS and you don’t need an acceptance letter as well. The MIS scholarship will cover the full tuition fee, plus the applicants will get a 1,500 Malaysian Ringgit stipend per month. You can easily cover your monthly expenses in Malaysia with 700 or 800 Ringgits.

Eligibility Criteria of Malaysia International Scholarship:
Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) Scholarship applicants must comply with the following criteria:
- Not more than 45 years old at the time of application.
- For Master’s Degree Program, applicants should obtain a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honors) or a minimum CGPA of 3.0 at Undergraduate Degree level.
Proof of English Language Proficiency:
- Scanned copy of the original proof of English Language Proficiency such as IELTS or TOEFL.
- Applicants obtaining Degrees with English as medium of instructions.
- Has an excellent level of health certified by a doctor/physician.
- Scholars must undertake full-time study for postgraduate programs at the selected Higher Learning Institutions.
- Applications are only open to candidates who have received offer letters from universities in Malaysia but have not yet started their studies.
Selection Criteria for the Malaysia Scholarship for International Students:
- Competitive ranking.
- Good academic record.
- Merit-basis.
- Quality of research proposal.
Terms and Condition of Malaysia International Scholarship:
- Scholars must undertake full-time study for postgraduate Master’s Degree Programs at the selected Higher Learning Institutions.
- Scholars must not change their program during scholarship.
- Scholars must follow the approved programs and abide by the university’s rules, regulations and codes of conduct.
- Any suspension from the university will result in immediate suspension of award.
- Monthly allowances are not payable during suspension.
- It is the responsibility of successful candidates to apply and meet the requirements for the issuing of an appropriate entry visa including medical examination.
- Scholars must maintain satisfactory progress and good standing as stipulated by their host university or the scholarship will be withdrawn.
- The scholarships are tenable in Malaysian Universities and research must be carried out in Malaysia.
- Scholars are not allowed to take any paid employment during scholarship.

- A certified copy of Passport as evidence of nationality (minimum of 6 month’s validity).
- A certified copy of Academic Transcript.
- Record of all the courses taken throughout the degree program must be reflected in the academic transcripts.
- Applicants must submit transcripts of their undergraduate studies.
- Applicants must submit an official document.
- A certified copy of English Language Proficiency tests (TOEFL or IELTS).
- Letter of Recommendation from two (2) referees.
- Endorsement form MTCP Scholarship.
- Admission offer letter from Malaysian Universities.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Medical examination form.
